Each award is made from 1/8" acrylic that is cut out
100%- leaving no background color that may contrast with the color of
the ship.
They are cut from the correct color sheet stock, and are backed with
an exterior grade double faced tape for installation on the ship.
When it is time to repaint the ship-the awards can be masked off and
painted around (since they are raised above the mounting surface due
to the thickness of the tape) or you can remove them with a sharp putty
knife, and re apply after painting is complete.
We can also provide rolls of tape for re-mounting.
The larger drop-shadowed Battle “E” is also available.
It is 18.5”x22.5”, and made of 1/8" white acrylic
with a high performance black vinyl film applied to it for the 3 dimensional
effect.
3” and 4” wide stripes are available in the appropriate
colors. These stripes are also cut out 100% leaving no background color
to contrast against the ship. Each stripe lays at a 65 degree angle,
and match the width of the corresponding letter award.
The 3" and 5" stars are available in acrylic, or a high
performance vinyl decal which can be applied directly to the ship.
