Here is a very good example of what is possible with digitally printed door plates. These door plates are 8"Lx4"Tx1/4" thick. Each plate is made from 1/4" thick black acrylic with a polished edge and an outdoor grade digital print applied to it. The two logos are about 1.25" in diameter. Pull out a ruler and take a look at what 1.25" really looks like in front of you- then look at the detail in these logos! The use of high resolution print files that we generate in house allows us to insert any art, at any size needed. Silk screen process may come close to this, but there are larger quantities involved to make them cost effective. Sublimation processes allow for color art, but not with this kind of detail and they typically do not last in direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting. The digital print process is far superior in quality, color, and cost effectiveness.
