The display is composed of (20) 2"x3" laser engrave able plates that are affixed to the board with solid brass screws to allow for local engraving as needed. The Command at Sea pin was created using various materials and finished with a brilliant gold lacquer finish.
The ship is a half hull scale model built by hand to match the ship's current configuration. The hull decals, hardware, and colors are done to match the ship as close as possible. The crest and USN official seal are digitally printed and applied directly to the board.
Access to the plates is achieved by sliding the acrylic cover out of the display via a small slot in the RH side of the box. This box measures 24"x22"x3" and is wall mounted using a guide wire on the back.
