WOOD PRODUCTS OVERVIEW

Whether its a small medal case or a large photo board, every wood product we sell is made right here by us.  We use a combination of  proven wood working techniques with modern day tooling technology to give you the most beautiful products in a cost effective, efficient manner..

While the techniques and tooling we use allow us to be efficient in making your order, manufacture of solid wood based products can still be a time consuming affair.  Products like photo boards require the manufacture of the actual board prior to placing anything on it. Each board is assembled in sections to produce the final size/shape board.  Glue and varnish dry times cannot be accelerated without compromising the integrity of the product.   We simply ask that you exercise a little patience when waiting for the final product to arrive- It will be worth the wait!!

Making things from wood requires a little knowledge in a lot of areas.  Having experience choosing the best wood for your application, construction techniques, and use of finishing processes are all a part of wood working that directly affect the appearance of the final piece.

The most basic question we ask when discussing any wood project is...  What kind of wood do you want it made from??  Most of you have some idea of what type/grain of wood they are looking for, but it is always difficult to choose from a picture on a web page.  Below are some examples of common wood grains and colors we use on our projects.  Although they are a good representation of the finished material- grains/patterns will vary slightly.  Color/tone of the wood is only affected by light source and stains applied.

Cost of your product is directly related to the type of wood used to make it.  Tropical hardwoods like Teak, Honduran/African Mahogany are best suited for the outdoor environment, but are more expensive than domestic woods like Oak, Hickory, Maple and Cherry.

Below are a few pictures of some projects we have made using these woods for your reference...these are a fair representation of the color tone of each wood type shown..
