Command Excellence Awards
Each award is made from 1/8" acrylic that is cut out 100%-
leaving no background color that may contrast with the color of the
ship. They are cut from the correct color sheet stock, and are backed
with an exterior grade double faced tape. We
also offer decals made from 3M 2mm high performance outdoor grade
colored vinyl to apply directly to the ship.
- DFT Installation- Standard
installations receive an outdoor grade DFT (double faced tape)
backing. This is used when the awards are to be permanently
displayed on the ship. Once they are installed- they stay put until
you take them down. We have been told that
our larger size 20"x25" awards have withstood 30' seas
and 50 knot winds.
- Magnetic Installation- We also
offer a magnetic installation for those commands that have RADAR
absorbing hull coating found on our newer DDG's. Since the awards
can not be attached, or painted on the coating- we developed a
magnetic solution for display of your awards. They can be easily
removed when under way, and re installed when you return. Although
magnetic is a great way to display your awards- we do not recommend
magnetic backed awards for commands that want to keep them up when
under way.
So quick and easy to install, the CO will
get in on the fun!!
3” and 5” wide stripes are available in the appropriate colors.
These stripes are also cut out 100% leaving no background color to
contrast against the ship. Each stripe lays at the correct angle, and
match the width of the corresponding letter award. The appropriate
3" and 5" stars are available as well.
For those with small display areas (MCM, MHC, ARS,
PC), we have the ability to custom cut your hash marks at a shorter
angle, and thinner size to save space at
no extra charge - just inquire when requesting a estimate.

PLEASE READ
THIS!! The latest revision to the instructional has made a significant
change to the size of letter used for DDG class ships.
Your "usual" size has always been 12"x15" with
3" hash marks/ stars. The Battle "E" size has
always been 20"x25".
The above mentioned
revision has moved DDG class ships into the 20"x25"
command excellence size with 5" hash marks/ stars, and now calls
for a 24"x30" Battle "E".
Having been on a few
DDG's, we know that the new size in unrealistic due to the smaller
display area on the bridge wings, and will continue to honor those
requests for the 12"x15" size.
The general consensus
regarding the instructional revision is that it is a "typo",
but we have not heard otherwise and have listed the awards per the
instructional in our pricing.

Battle Efficiency Awards
We offer 3 sizes of the larger drop-shadowed Battle “E” depending
on the hull class of your ship. They are made from 1/8" white
acrylic with a high performance black vinyl film applied to it for the 3
dimensional effect. They utilize a DFT installation, but can also be
ordered with a magnetic backing if needed.
If your command is good enough to have received the Battle
"E" award for 5 consecutive years- we have the gold drop
shadowed "E" as well with all of the hash marks and stars for
your hull class.
The correct sized white stars and drop shadowed hash marks are also
available in both DFT and magnetic installation solutions. The stars and
hash marks match the specified size of the "E" depending on
the hull class of your ship.
