These boards utilize a small slide plate
that is shifted back and forth to show either a green
(aboard) or red (ashore) status indicator. Each
slider holds one person's name, and the personnel on board
can be grouped as needed by using an engraved tag above
each column of sliders.
Name tags are generated
by you using a P-Touch type label maker or ink jet printed
sheets available at any office supply store. On more permanent applications, the plastic tag can be
engraved by us, or locally.
Slider-based boards
are the design of choice with our customers
because of its maintenance free, user friendly
features. The name tags are very simple to print,
and the use of sliders allows for a more space
efficient layout.
We always provide scaled
layouts of board designs based on the information provided
by you. We will show you 3-4 layouts ranging from
very basic, to "all the bells and whistles" so
you can see all of the possibilities available to
you.
