The most important factor when considering digital printing is the resolution of the file used to print from. A file that looks great on your PC at 8.5"x11" may not look all that great when enlarged 750% to the desired size. Resolution is the amount of pixels per square inch that the file has. The more resolution, the larger the file can be enlarged without looking fuzzy and losing all of its quality.

If the file you have is questionable for use, we will let you know prior to starting your project. In the event you cannot get a better file, all is not lost!! There are a few options at our disposal before we call it a day.

We can look through our archives and available resources for a suitable file to print from.
You can mail us a color copy of the art for direct scanning into our print software. A bumper sticker, decal, or color print of the image 6"-8" in size is usually adequate.
We can attempt to "clean up" the file using our illustrative software filters and programs to gain as much resolution as possible.
We can re create the entire image in a scaleable format. This process involves totally re drawing the image in vectored art form. After it is complete, the file can be enlarged or reduced without loss of any resolution at all which makes it the most ideal source for digital printing.

Please note that while the images you will see are much cleaner than the ones pictured below, they are shown as a .GIF formatted file and still are not as nice as the true Illustrator file we used to print from.
